Cheaper budget tyres

Has anyone used budget tyres on their van in standard size?
What experience have you had with regards to grip, noise etc?
Camskill have budget tyres around £30 each plus carriage at the moment.
Changing mine because they're 9 year old hankook m+s ra08 tyres which came on the van, and they seem quite noisy and hard over bumps.
Thanks

I run tyres that are budget. Took off continentals but not really noticed a difference. Still noisy.

No idea. All budges are about the same. Also need to get commercial tyres. That's all I run on my work van as I don't do many miles in that. Better ones generally last longer handle better and less noise. But cost £30 each more.

I have a set of eight year so called budget tyres on my van and guess I should think about changing them really. However they seem hardly worn and show no cosmetic signs of ageing. True they do look a bit agricultural but to me they are rugged and don't have that fuel gobbling squidgyness so popular today.
However The ride is somewhat noisier and I guess the grip must be less.

In bolder times I ran an early (round body lines) Bedford CF custom camper and used G800's on it for excellent car like road holding and a beautiful ride comfort. even though it meant a new set every year at least.

So I will probably go for the same or similar called budget tyres again and save my hard earned cash :ok

Noisy Tyres!

Have you thought of sound proofing your cab?

Noise would be the lowest thing on my list when buying tyres for the van.
Paramount would be stopping distance and grip.
Budget tyres offer very little in that dept. compared to a European made tyre for a European climate in my experience.
Pirelli Goodyear Michelin have to make tyres according to European ISO standards, tyres are cheap for a reason, none of them are good ones.

Agree completely, I have always pushed the boat out with tyres, however I am currently in the market for some tyres for our daily drive so I decided to do some more deeper research to see if the cheeper brands have caught up yet, check out the Market overview braking test if you have any doubt about the purchase of decent tyres, you could be talking about 30 to 40 metres difference at stopping at 62 mph and thats with an average sized family car.
