Just wondered if anyone is running 17's with no pas.
Tyre size is 225/45 x 17 and they have been on a t25 before

That tyre is too small.
it's over 3.5% smaller than the original spec circumference

so your speedo is out and the gearing is

A 225/50 X 17 95L would be better

Lots of folks run 17's with no PAS as it's not common on T3's
If your castor/camber and tyre pressures are not right after lowering the steering will be stiff and the wear on components will magnify

Yes it's a common mistake that is made.
The original 185 x 14's had an 82 profile
