And if it did you’d have to jack up the front to get it out...
Have you ever seen an unhappy fool?

I think I'm going to keep it standard. The new wheels and tyres give just enough hint of a lift. And I found a place for the spare.

I made mine fit. In doing so I did cut the carrier but now I think there is a chance that this size wheel would fit by just taking out the clamp rods/hinge pins and replacing with a bolt for the hinge.
And one other final 'tip' that I have just worked out (all beginner guides will tell you this but I thought I knew better): Get proper argon/CO2 welding gas... don't put up with pub gas. The difference is significant!

Re: Fridge Panel Repair
I still haven't had her on the road for more than 300 miles at a time.
I have been fixing for so long that I have got around to needing to fix things I already fixed...
Rear brake cylinders don't like standing around.
Clutch master cylinder was replaced a while ago but for some reason the plastic nipple for the hose from the fluid reservoir spontaneously snapped off. The hose then fell behind the foot well carpet. I thought maybe the fluid was low so 'topped it up' with one and a half litres before I woke up and wondered where all the fluid was going... under the carpets!!!
I cannot buy the plastic bit on it's own - had to buy a whole new cylinder assembly. The cylinder arrived - and the plastic pipe adaptor has snapped off and was missing!
I suspect this bit of plastic is not really up to the job, so 'do it properly, do it once' (well twice now) I decided to make one out of stainless steel... it _must_ last a bit longer....
