After a set of road tyres and in the size I want it comes down to Continental vs one or other of several Korean brands. There's a ~£20 difference per tyre, but would I be paying over the odds if a Kumho is as-good..

Which is better ?

Continental have been rated as the best all round van tyre particularly for wet grip.

Not a direct answer to your question, but I went for Hankook Vantra RA18. Going by ratings they are more economical, have better grip and are quieter and cheaper than either the Vanco or Kuhmo. (Hankook C/B/70 vs Kumho E/C/74 vs Vanco E/C/73). I'm assuming you are looking for 185/80 R14, but if not probably similar in other sizes. I paid £250 for 4 fitted and have been very pleased with the tyres.

Got Kumho 857s now as one of the few I could find in a 215/14.

Bought and fitted a few sets in last few years and are a very good tyre. Does everything they are meant to do and sensible price. Marshalls are the same AFAIK

What size Vanco's are you going for?

I have a set of 4 new ones here, 215 65 15.

Thought about fitting them to my Syncro, but I'm now going for BFG A/T.

Thanks all. I went for Vanco 2's (in 215R14), as I'd had Vanco's before and been happy with them. They just landed, they're all there and correct, made 0316.
