Subaru converters
Hi guys I've been a member here for quite s while and I think the time has come for me to go scooby! Can any body recommend a company that can do the job start to finish? Does such a master exist? I'm sick of being ripped off by half jobs! Any feed back will be appreciated

Re: Subaru converters
From someone with only 58 posts and just over a year on the forum, I would say that the above statement needs some qualifying and/or justification.

Re: Subaru converters
My EJ22 was so awful and unreliable I took it out. It was an early example but even so...

Really pleased with my own work, it's a pretty easy conversion on the driveway

Re: Subaru converters
If you are handy with the spanners and dont mind a bit of work, it is fairly easy to do the conversion on a drive using axle stands and a hoist , I did mine last Summer ... and am very very pleased with it . However if you are looking for a drive in drive out conversion then I can highly recommend Jamie Lockyer https://www.facebook.com/Js-Garage-1002 ... t.overview" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I have seen his own Bus and it looks a good conversion, He uses RJES parts, including speed sensor , exhaust and new fuel tank if required ( needs to be a injection one ) From memory he charges £4500 including VAT . ( 2.0 na EJ engine ) This is a bloody good price.. I spent that much and I did the work myself !
The difference between a good conversion and a poor one is huge... Hence the references to the people in Peterborough , who seem to have upset a lot of people with poor work .

Re: Subaru converters
The guys at Haynes Motor Museum, Somerset did mine 5 years ago. Ask for Bradley. Has never missed a beat since, unlike the crappy original 1.9 water-cooled.
