Hi there, i ordered 50 rolls of pipe lagging which has now come through..but I really thought I could roll it out and stick it down....but its so tightly rolled!
If you've used this, how did you do it?
Lloydy??

replied to your pm too, with a link to my build thread, but basically cut to size and stand up in the voids

How about cutting them in half then put them in in a wave pattern - so that the cut ends go into the centre of the previous and then the next piece. More of an even coverage then. Surely you have numerous voids just stacking them in? Looks like it in that photo. eg 2" thick at the middle of the tube down to nothing/1/8" or so where they touch.

you'd also have to get thinner wall stuff so they interlock, what i used is 25mm wall. It really has worked very well. would be a lot of effort for no apparent gain in my opinion.

i imagine this may work well as sound deadening ???

how well does it hold the heat in ?
better than the foil insulation ?

do the panels sweat with this in ?

sorry for all the questions.. i actually like the idea of this

In my opinion it works very well as sound and heat barrier. Its closed cell, easy to work with and pretty cheap. Mines been in a year, i removed a panel for access to something and no sign of sweating or anything like that.

And, just to pipe up with my usual bit of advice- don't forget your vapour barrier!

That's all folks! :ok

A snap shot here of a very cold morning after the eberspacher had been on for around an hour. You can see quite clearly where the lagging is as it still has frost in those areas of bodywork

Well Lloydy, I've fitted half the van out so far..its taking me a while as Im trying to sort out the seat belts in the back etc.
But it looks good and it was easy to fit and quite fun!
Thank you!

Not knocking the concept for a moment, but fully wax spraying the inside of the panels before installing insulation would be a good idea, to prevent internal condensation being trapped between the insulation and body.
