Fuel pipe emptied.....van wouldnt start

Just in case it helps someone..
Van failed to start today....first time in 8 years.
Turned out the culprit was a perished / split blanking plug on the fuel bleed off side of the injectors. 20p part.
Air was getting in which caused the diesel to syphon back to the tank leaving the deisel pipe to the pump empty.
Rac man fixed it.
