Hi all, has anyone had fitted any cab carpets from either Heritage or Newton?

I'm after the whole shabang, wheel arches, under seat boxes etc.

I have the newton set in mine.No complaints.I also purchased enough for the living area from them.

Just found out Newton supply heritage.

What's overall finish like? Does it fit nicely around the boxes and the kick panel?

I think I had to do a bit of fetteling.And they look not to bad at all.

Thinking of putting them in my Westy. Do you know if the quality is the same? Difficult to tell from the photos on their website. Is it a thick pile or is it corded?

Is a woven cord.

I've been looking at these too, be interested if you get them. Notice they do diesel and petrol versions but my diesel doesn't look like the diesel photo. Hmmm

The sell both, woven and nylon. I've asked them to send me some samples so I'll try and take some good photos of them and upload them

i think only the 1.6 turbo is different,

My conclusion; They're completely SH!!!!T and massively overpriced for how badly the fit and lack of beading. But due to the lack of options out there I would do it all again...But I definitely wouldn't be happy about it.

A lot of dosh to pay out and not be very happy with the result.

Had some dealings with Newtons recently for the re-trim of the Bay...was based on a personal recommendation from a friend who had a van re-trimmed by them years ago. I was far from impressed with the response to my enquiries, the samples they sent out or the (IMHO) absolutely top end prices they were quoting...judging from their website they seem to be rather more orientated towards re-trimming modern minis et al than the classic VWs etc around which they used to frame their business.

All very much my personal opinion of course but they weren't for me.

Should probably add my 2p worth as I ordered a Newton cab set.

Very good quality carpet that I received, plush but the fit seems quite far off. I've never fitted the battery boxes and wheel arch parts because they don't line up quite right and I think it needs someone who knows a few tricks to get it to fit.

Industrial carpet. Jet washes clean. By far the better option in my view.

What about a combination of original black rubber for floor and walkthrough and original carpet for seat boxes and wheel arches, a good second hand original front carpet kit can clean up nicely.
