plans are afoot for making a Paulchen type frame for the wheel.
sourcing tube on ebay.
just have to work out a way of bending it to shape.
Any idea?
im looking at 20 dia M/S tube with a 3mm wall, there are gonna be 1, 90 bend 1 around 45Deg and one in the middle to mirror the rear door profile , possibly around 20 deg.
hard part is going to be the bending .

You dont want to be welding galv tube...

You can hire tube bending kit from your local hire shop.....as long as you go for thin wall m steel.

Personally i think you would be better of buying something and modifying it rather than starting from scratch.

Or.....find a local fabbing shop and see if someone could knock something up for beer money....

3 mm wall is really heavy duty stuff......you will struggle to bend it with anything.

1.5 mm wall would be plenty ??
