Will these wheels and tyres fit ?
Hi All,
Just purchased a set of Mercedes ML 16" alloys
Question is,will the tyres fitted be ok with my T25 - they are 225/75/16 or will I have issues?
Thanks
Steve

And by the way, mine was on Leipzig plates too until I drove it back to the uk last Xmas
and re registered it on uk plates.

No...too big.
225/55/16 is the correct size.

If I go for 225/55/16 - what is available for the loading of the van - most are car tyres

Seeing as Google isn't working for you....
MPV 225/55/16 tyres are available in 95 and 99 load rating and both are more than enough for a T25...even if loaded to the maximum weight it can carry.
Oh nearly forgot... 205 and 215/60/16's can also be used and they are available in 96,95 and 99 load ratings.
These sizes are also available in commercial tyres with 100 to 108 load ratings....if that's what you prefer.
Please ignore those who harp on about the handbook 'saying' 97 load rating is the minimum load rating you should use....the very same handbook from 30+ years ago also states that leaded petrol should be used.....

Re: Will these wheels and tyres fit ?
you will also have to open up the wheel holes to either 14 or 15mm if my memory serves me right if you haven't done it already. you will need longer bolts for the front and longer wheel studs for the back.you will need between 5 or 10mm wheel spacers depending what size tyers you are using, hope this helps, cheers dave

ML alloy bolt holes do not need opening up as they already take 14mm bolts.
As the OP has said he's already read the Mercedes wheel thread so he will be aware that longer rear studs and front bolts are required.
As for using spacers and their width....that's down to the offset(ET) and width of the alloys not what size tyres are used and 16" ML alloys(depending on the design....and the OP hasn't said?) have offsets of ET47,ET53 and ET62 so spacers as big as 30mm may be required....definitely not 5mm!
Please don't take this the wrong way Dave but if you're going to give out advice please make sure it's correct before doing so....

hi steve the merc wheels have a 12mm wheel hole size as I had to drill mine out to 14mm to get them to fit on my van,it even says in the wiki cheers daveg60steve wrote:dave lfc wrote:you will also have to open up the wheel holes to either 14 or 15mm if my memory serves me right if you haven't done it already. you will need longer bolts for the front and longer wheel studs for the back.you will need between 5 or 10mm wheel spacers depending what size tyers you are using, hope this helps, cheers dave

Dave....you have Mercedes CLK alloys fitted and yes they need to be drilled out to take 14mm bolts.
However the OP asked about Mercedes ML alloys didn't he?
So...and again ...ML alloys do NOT need drilling as they already take 14mm bolts.....
