Re: air in radiator
That's the top-up tank, it receives excess coolant when the system goes above a certain pressure and then allows it to syphon back as the system cools topping the header tank up.
Perhaps the thermostat hasn't opened allowing flow to the rad ?

This will help you lots http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/bleed ... 29710.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It did me anyway, follow it and you'll have no probs... 99.9% sure it won't a dodgy stat as they fail open on diesels.
But maybe you haven't got the engine hot enough for it to want to open. If its a aaz it should get up to temp pretty quick
Good luck!

Re: air in radiator
^^^^ I disagree, my stat failed in that it was only half opening. (Tested in boiling water)

Half shut, half open depending upon your point of view!

Re: air in radiator
I always get confused. Does it mean remove the rad screw completely or just undo it a few turns? Undoing it a few turns when I bleed I see a few bubbles now and again but it's painful going. I'd assume removing it completely would loose loads of coolant when you stop revving??lloydy wrote:This will help you lots http://www.brick-yard.co.uk/forum/bleed ... 29710.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
