PPS I'd like to know how Paul's 5th wheel hookup went. Did he manage to cut a deal with the farmer on that sweet rig?

An excellent weekend.
After nearly 5 years of attending club events this was the first at which I did not drive one jot, for a number of reasons. However that was made up by the enjoyment of marshalling and instructing.
Campfire was superb on Sat night.
Looking forwards to France and SP.

We had a great weekend, infact we had a sulky eldest child who didn't want to leave on Sunday!
Repeating what's already been said - It was lovely to see so many people at an event, old faces and new, and thanks for all the planning and effort it goes into making it such a fun event.
The driving was great fun - especially the trials, both on Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to Nick for sitting in and spotting for me.
Oh and Sally's fruit cake was amazing. Mmmmmm.
It won't be long now until SyncroP and Camperjam.... both of which are going to be scorchers

Nice pics Richard, believe that was Sunday, a good turnout
Some had to leave Saturday, including Al and Harriet for her Birthday do, hope you had a good party
Then we could vote on best exhaust note... notwithstanding the Subarus delicious staccato rasp, and Roger's Audi 5-pot growl, I thought Ian's 2.1 SS sounded in particularly good voice.
Oh, I am forgetting Glenn's Land Rover on full chat...

Re: So.. who was at coney!!!! (initial report)
Seconding all comments above about meeting people who I've met before and met for the first time over the weekend. Thanks for the work that goes into the organisation.
Had another good demo of just how capable these vehicles can be when properly set up and driven by people who understand them. Sally coming down the hill in Paul's Sika was a good example!
Special thanks to Neil, Dai and Pete for helping me to understand my suspension problems on Saturday. A visit to relatives near Holmfirth may be looming - to include leaving the bus at Mr Baxter's emporium for a day or two when he and we can fit it in.
Best bits - climbing and descending any of the hills and even just getting to and from the campsite by Sat afternoon.
Worst bit - the four attempts it took to get back onto our pitch at the top of the hill on Sat evening. Eventually managed it at 20 psi allround and both difflocks on. Roger wasn't joking when he said that a little rain can make a big difference. Shame no one got a video of all six Syncros doing a scene from Swan Lake on the hillside.
Had an uneventfuf if windy journey back to Cornwall apart fron a Costa large takeout Americano deciding to spring a leak - first into my drinks carrier and then all over me while I pulled into the hard shoulder to jettison it. Got home and got the pressure washer out to get that clay off the underneath and the delicate paintwork.
Here's a few more pics:

Like them all Pete, esp the red-out of Harriet, Al & Jenny and those moody misty ones... and never seen Al photographed before without a smile or grin on his face - an interesting study !

I think I must have caught Al in the millisecond that he was between smiles - and it was early...
