It won't. You either hang it on the back, or stand it up inside.

I just asked on another thread if there is a space saver wheel that is suitable for a T25. My question was in relation to std steels, but I guess a suitable space saver might be available for 15" wheels ?

You can alter the wheel carrier. A mig will be needed but basically you need to bring it down by as much as needed to fit wheel & tyre snugly.

Hello Koendd,

Did you get a chance to check this? I have 15" wheels and a carrier on the back that I would like to get rid of... a wheel that would fit underneath would be ideal.

Thanks

hope that'll do for you ;)

just use a little force to get it over the hook...

Intriguing! Thanks. Considering an LPG conversion so will probably have to stick with the spare carrier at the back but thanks all the same!

We are considering the Merc SLK "super space saver" (which is very "space saving") as mentioned by our "nevill3" as per = HERE which apparently fits with a slight opening up of the stud holes.

Yeh, I take your point James, but it would only ever be used in an emergency, driving at say 20mph, just to get off a main road to a garage or summat.

Hi

Thanks again for this but I have no idea what this means - I know nothing about wheels/tyres. Is the the size of the wheel? Where could I buy a wheel this size?

Also, current tyres are 215/75/15 so I'm assuming the tyre size you suggest could not be fitted?

Apologies for being such a doughnut!

Chris

means that my spare wheel is 15" high, 6" wide...

ET and things like that you can google (or search on here) and you'll find loads of information ;)

and MB (mercedes benz) wheels can be found everywhere really...
You should just look for the correct ET cause otherwise you'll need a spacer..

Thanks again Koendd.

Took the spare wheel today and had the smaller tyre fitted.... with a bit of brute force to slightly bend the arms that retain the tyre it fits! Checked all round to ensure nothing else is being squashed and all seems fine!

Job done - bye bye carrier!

Cheers guys.
