Devon lanes & touring weekend

Devon is w/e 3,4,5 August at Cullompton (usual campsite) again this year

Use of the flat, neat but small campsite can be arranged for the whole of the week before and after if required. Good access to North & South coasts, partic Exmoor and Exeter, Bodmin Moor within easy range, as is Taunton and even Glastonbury within an hour or so (a nice drive actually).
Close to M5 junction 28 (Cullompton), fuel at junction, big Tesco with fuel at Cullompton too. Honiton market town, close range as well... what more could you want.

It's approx. £10/night, hookup available, nice loo & shower block . If very wet the earlier you arrive more likely to get a spot of higher ground, we've all been sunburnt there and we've all been paddling there sometime in the last x years. Caravans and trailers welcome (two of us have permanent caravans there already)

There will be a mix of touring, tea drinking, laning, cream tea eating, pub visiting (ferrying or walking back). Organised evening Pub meal and lunchtime picnicing - by request (as opposed to nitpicking).

Interested? In the first instance, please add your name to the list in the post below:-

I'm in (hope this motor's a good one...)

Will a roof tent be a liability? I guess the Westyfans cope OK but my roofbars - Neil's old Disco ones - are a bit tall. If there's time left I'll cut'n'shut the upstands.

how harsh are the lanes ? is any one doing this in a nice daily driver, that they don't want to scratch and knock? also how demanding? deep mud and water ?? i don't want to get in the way!
im wondering whether i can risk it? in my t4 syncro

I will be doing minimal laning due to going on my hols the next week. From what i hear the lanes are very fluffy (scratchy)
