Gearbox oil and Thermostat fitting

1.Need to know What gearbox oil to buy for my 1.7d van and where to fill it up, and how much i need to fill up by?
2.how to change the thermostat on a JX 1.6TD please

need to sort both things before this weekend so would grately appreciate anyones help please :|

I have just drained my gearbox oil have you seen the downloads section on here they have a file to download that will tell you all you need to know

Here are the details for a 5 speed box.
Hypold oil API/drive lubrlc .
SAE BOW, SAE BOL-4; MIL·L2105 ani.
Capacity: 4 0 litres W/90 . tr (4 .2 US qt)

Unfortunately the thermostat I have no knowledge of because I have the 1.6d CS engine.

It's a nasty job lying under the van and trying to make oil go uphill. You can use a length of old garden hose routed through the right hand rear wheel arch into the gearbox filler hole, terminated in a small funnel at the top, and fill with ease from a standing or sitting position.
1.9D (AEF) pop-top. Aaaaahhhhh........that's better.
