indicators wont self cancel

indicators wont self cancel
recently just fitted my golf mk1 steering wheel and the self cancelling on the indicators does not work,tried to find the mod on the wiki to sort it out anyone send me a link for the how to please,cheers dave

The self-cancelling's done by a tag on the back of the wheel "knocking off" a little nub behind it. Have a look, and you'll figure it.
Personally, having spent most of my time driving old Citroens, I hate self-cancelling with a vengeance, since I'm perfectly capable of knowing when I want the damn things to go off, so that sounds like an improvement to me.
