Can someone tell me if the T4 hub has the same setup as the t25?

These converters are spec'd for the T4

The PCD is correct, but I'm wondering about the hub diameter and the 14mm bolt width

thanks

What is the ET of these wheels you want to fit?

My Merc alloys are ET42 (7.5J width) and I need 15mm spacers on the front to stop them catching the suspension on full lock. Adaptors seem to be 20mm minumum so your ET needs to be 50ish or above

har har. why would it handle even worse anyhow?

eh. the only advise I've had is get good rated tyres, and wheels that fit easily. If they fit and the tyres are good enough then what's the deal?

as for bum shields and memory foam teeth. The ride would be EVEN harsher if it were lowered. And there are tons of buses with < 50 profile tyres, lowered in excess of 70mm. Do they get broken asses and teeth too?
Bum shield and memory foam teeth? :rofl :rofl

Well if the ET was too low then the wheel would just stick out rather than hit the suspension, surely.

It's the other way around if I understand it correctly. High positive offset sends the wheel into the suspension. High negative offset sends it out of the wheel arch.

I think myne are 35, or 42 ET. Using a spacer at 20mm, would subtract it to 15 or 22 ET in total. anyone with me?

If anything it's the sticking out that will be an issue. but they're only 7.5 wide So I reckon it'd be okay

Factory ET is between 30 and 39. Not sure if a too low ET puts too much strain on the bearings

other than the concerns of load rating of wheels amd tyres which is enough to stop me putting those anywhere near my camper you will be spending as much on a set of adaptors asa pair of correct tyres. I amrunning 8inch wheels 225 tyres and et 30 and my wheels just clear the wishbones and arch irecon these will stick out too far unless they have an et of approx 50, also your speedo will be miles out and unless the center bore of these wheela is. 66.6 all the way throgh they wont go on anyway, take a front wheel off and try it for size the bolt holes wont line up but will give you an idea.

I've found some possible wheels

18x8.5j - 5x112 - ET45

inc tyres: 245 45 18

I'm gathering 20mm spacers to bring the ET down to 25. Then possible need to machine the centre bore and lug holes.

now,

Could you fit a 245/45/18 tyre on a t25 using an ET of 25?

and does anyone know the average cost of getting a set of wheels machined like this?

thanks!

10mm is enough spacer.
pushing the wheel out further risks wheel arch fouling on the tyre when cornering... is it lowered? if not then no bother

that tyre makes the whole package 21mm bigger than standard diameter so the speedo will not read right. and you will be changing up a gear more than usual.

you will weaken the integrity of the rim taking material off the rim center and stud holes, be aware.

please see my earlier post 8 inch wheel 225 tyre has only 3mm clearance to wishbone less to arch your "possible wheels" are bigger and have a higer offset they will not fit. they wll foul on the wishbone with 10mm spacers, and will protrude approx 20mm past the arch

thanks I'll keep shopping!

bummer cos they're in great nick and have good tyres. but I did think 8.5j with 245's won't go easily on the front.

it isn't lowered though so would possibly work with 20mm spacers but I reckon they'd be hanging out too much so never mind.
