Help with removal of nearside brake hub

Hey all,

I need some advice and it is regarding my beloved T25 Danbury.
She sustained some rather bad pot hole damage recently, yes not happy!
So, it destroyed my nearside wheel bearings (they were on there way out), also the rim was damaged, nice tyre (truck tyre) blown and now I have a very loose wheel hub/brake disc which I wish to remove.

I am struggling to get the main break hub off, due to it being the original and of course, very tight nuts.
Also purchase is hard, placement of the nuts, how seized they are is the main issue.
But to replace the bearing and anything else that needs sorting, I have to remove it.

Can anyone advise of tactics here, or maybe suggest a mobile service local to North Essex, one who would come out and help with this problem?
I was about to fit some weber carbs to this beast, but that will have to wait until I have this all sorted.

They are on really tight, standing on the end of a long 3/4" drive breaker bar should do it.

Also try wd40 and heating it up with a blow torch.

I remember repeatedly sheering my 1/2" bar until I bit the bullet and bought a new 3/4 bar and socket.

Thanks, I have a couple of bars, but will look at a more appropriate breaker bar and some heat.
WD40 just hasnt cut it, but will have another go tomorrow!

WD40 not worth the effort, use a proper releasing fluid like PlusGas.

If its the original nut it should be the lower torque setting being an early van so should be easy with a scaffold pole over a strong breaker bar, give the exposed  threads a good clean if they are rusty.

So, it looks like the op is talking about the front wheel, not the rear? Have you got the wheel itself off?

I wonder if a ball joint has failed ? , are you in the AA RAC ?

That tyre looks incredibly perished and cracked - if the rest are the same age I would make it a top priority to replace them!

I thought that but wondered if it was from being driven on whilst flat.

Now we know it's a front wheel, when cold shouldn't the hub nut be little more than finger tight? Split pin needs removing first though.

The fronts don't have a split pin. It's a peen nut.
