Threeway fridge flame issue
Hi,
I got installed an old electrolux threeway fridge that I bought off some caravan guy real cheap for like 20euro,
Its been runnnig great on 230, 12V and gas, although ive been having issues with just slightly windy conditions, sometimes it seems to easily blow the flame out.
So im not sure if the best way would be to create some kind of protection tin around the flame area or how to tackle this one.
anyone tackled something like this before?
Thanks in advance

Go on line and search for your fridge model to see if something is missing.
Iirc there has always been a tin box for wind protection on gas lit fridges.

I could drive at top speed in my vans and never had a flame blow out nor in a gale of wind. Your jet is most probably partially blocked. Plenty of posts, if you search, about this.

Why on earth would you not drive with a fridge on gas? If I didn't have my gas water heater on whilst driving I wouldn't have hot water for my shower when I stop.

Honestly…. The gas wont know if you are moving or not, it’s just the fizz of a liquid !!
I have driven hundreds , no , thousands of miles with the gas fridge on, never had it blow out and even if it did the thermocouple would switch the gas off …. I have never understood the big worry about gas, its not as volatile as petrol and loads of people drive without switching that off

Yeah that makes sense actually, well for now I’m driving mine with the 12V setting and while standing still on gas… atleast until I get the gas issue sorted, after the summer I’ll take it out again and inspect it to see what’s really going on
Thanks
