Sliding door and 8,5" rims?

Post by Italjohn »

Hi guys. I was gifted a set of four 18" 8,5 and ET35 mercedes rims. I have tested one on the front, and that fits (I have the Epytec 312mm Audi brake kit installed, which adds approx. 6mm extra width) My question is: Will I be able to open the sliding door with this 8,5" wide roms on the back? I have not test fitted the rims at the rear yet. I will upgrade to Epytec rear diskbrakes soon if that should matter?

You'll be doing an extended sliding door link and moving the stop on the body at that size.

is that clearance between the rim and the wishbone maintained through full travel and compression and steering angle range ?

You could do with some 'taller' tyres by the look of it.
