Running on 3!

Post by T3luestar »

How do all, 2.1 DJ running well and used daily without any problems. Fuelled up at the local Asda then drove a further ten miles or less without issue, then parked up for the night. While driving to work the next morning the van started backfiring and running poorly, manage to get home with lot's of popping and banging. Just added some STP 5 in 1 'snake oil' (thinking it could be a sticky valve) and changed the spark plugs, number 2 was wet with petrol. At the moment it seems to be running OK and no longer backfiring, but yet to go out on a run. Could it have been bad fuel?

Possibly water in the fuel, but there are many other possibilities. Was it raining?

It could have been raining during the night after I fuelled up, but nowt bad. Just been on a good half hour drive without any problems.

It's been fine ever since. Had a good run over the weekend and used for work without a problem.
