Hi, a mate of mine has just painted his Fortrack with a tintable Raptor bed liner system an it’s well smart and very easy to do, anyone used it?

A friend painted his Defender with bed liner. It looked ok and was very durable but the pain problem he found was that because it it a textured surface it always looks grubby as it held the dirt.

It could be coated with a glossy top coat though to make cleaning easier - or keep it well polished - maybe

Re: Raptor bed liner as a paint
You can actually buy bed liner with a smooth finish.
We got an aerosol can of 2K bed liner mixed in L90D from Buzzweld, which we used over Galvafroid on lower section of our front deformation panel, behind the bumper. It's not an absolutely perfect match, but given the location it's close enough to pass casual viewing and it seems to be keeping the corrosion at bay.

Whilst surfing YouTube I've come across these guys who go by the name "Team Overland UK Raptor's Garage".
A good source of mechanical videos to while away the time, and they have successfully used Truck bed Coating (on *and *overs) and show how to apply and maintain the fresh look.

Re: Raptor bed liner as a paint
I have painted the lower half of my van with Raptor Liner. One side i did with the sprayable one, I used 2 cans and both times didn't take the time to fully shake the can with the activator. This resulted in using up 2 cans very quickly as it went off in a few minutes. Amature mistake.
I then bought some of the 'rollable' Raptor kit simular the one CVC sells but from Ebay. This leaves a slightly rougher texture compared to the spray but allows more control and time to get it all in the right spots. I still have a few more sections I want to paint with it and feel I will take more time prepping the surface as I can see a few very small chips in the surface and put that down to not enough prep before.
