T3 Bathroom?
I have thought about making one of these to fit on the tow bar for touring long term in my van ( when I manage to escape work) but the design in my head was not as good looking as this.
I think if somebody were to produce these there would be a good market for them, I would not want to drill the D pillar personally but I think brackets could go through modified side vents so it was easily removable.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, especially to an upstanding member of the Club80-90 forum, but that looks mental! Such a huge amount of extra weight, and faff, just to add a portapotti?

Re: T3 Bathroom?
Sorry, but that’s not a great idea.
Never mind the extra weight it puts on your rear suspension just for a glorified toilet tent, but when it’s fitted you can’t even access the engine or tailgate. Imagine trying to shift that out of the way in a lay-by in order to access the back of the van.

Re: T3 Bathroom?
I take no offence you don't like it, if we were all the same life would be boring.
Sure it's not everybodies cup of tea visually but a camper should be practical not just to look at, plenty on here spend more money on bling for their van then they do on fuel using it which is pointless IMO.
It does not need to be excessively heavy if made from plastic and not fibre glass, you are carrying the toilet, water and tent anyway and that's taking up valuable space in the van.
To be fair most people have a bike rack with bikes that are on the tow hook and that has to come off and the back to empty to do any amount of maintenance, best to get your van up to scratch and not spend time at the roadside.
As for oil and water checks it could have a door inside.
If you are touring you don't want to pitch a toilet tent and the alternative of a No2 in a tiny van is just horrible.
If well thought out with some wheels and light enough it could be removed in minutes when camping long term and positioned for convenience ( see what I did there)

You'd only need an inspection hatch to get to the number plate flap and you could check the oil whilst your dropping your mates of at the pool .

It would be a whole new euphemism for taking a dump: just need to check the oil..

A quick pic of my camping toilet, takes up very little room in the van

So you arrive on a campsite dig a hole and $hit in it right?
Re: T3 Bathroom?
Don't do campsites. Wild camping. No idiots around trying to be smart.

Re: T3 Bathroom?
I found your ideal solution, no hole digging when you arrive at the campsite and no extreme installs blocking the rear hatch.

Here we go .....
It’s not 1918 , and even ( some) dog owners pick it up .
How can that be acceptable anywhere

The whole point of the shovel is to dig a hole and bury it. Usually in woods. Not to pick it up!!! Biodegradable, no chemicals. Makes me wonder if anyone here has ever actually done any proper wild camping! I posted the pics for a bit of fun. Regimented parking on a campsite with your hook up and satellite TV is not my idea of camping. But we are all different. Thankfully.

Of course it's ugly, you missed the point entirely
$hitting in your van is more ugly
it''s the lesser of the two evils if touring and camping in sites with no toilet such as aires in Europe .
Re: T3 Bathroom?
I see your point about $hitting in the van but I think I would act like a bear
