Seat slide mechanism clip things. Where do they go?!
Hi All. Got my seats back from the upholsterer this weekend (they look ace, will post some pics when they are fitted) and the clips that put downwards pressure on the seat slide bar/rod have fallen out. They apologised but gave me them disassembled rather than get things wrong. So how do they fit? This one has got me stumped!

The clip on the left in your photo goes on the left side rail with tips facing forward and curved tip down hooked over the adjusting rod, so in the photo your clip is upside down, flip it over so the curved tip will be on the inside of the seat rail. The straight ended tip will be on the outside of the seat and will press against the underside of the seat. The right side clip sits the same being opposite shaped.

Thanks for the info, starting to make sense now! So the closed end of the clip is just sort of "sandwiched" under the seat rail yes?

VW called them leg spring.
Partnrs are 251 881 243 (#12 on the pic) and 251 881 244 (#13 on the pic)
I think they are NLA in new, so you need them second hand

Thanks all - I ordered some 2mm piano wire over the weekend with a view to making my own - but that was before I got the PM from multisi - I’ve replied, did you get it? Still getting used to the PM system with messages being stuck in Outbox for a while...
