Third brake light

Post by JackE »

I had a quick search to see if there was a guide for fitting a third brake light I was just wondering if anyone has any tips. There is this guide to follow from go Westy which I think would work with any brake light?

Many thanks

Just fit a tow bar, some idiot who is too close and playing with their phone is not going to see a third light any more than the first two.

I dilled a small hole in the R/H corner of the boot and ran the wire up behind the tailgate seal.

Horrible things - people with them sit with their brakes on in a queue and they blind you. They wouldn't be so bad if the lights projected upwards or downwards rather than horizontally at a level with your eyes.

I like having one. The vans brake lights are so low down, I think it's a big help. Now, not everyone needs one of those full width death Star lasers on the back like some BMW's..

Agree. I recommend them too if you have stock rear lights. I've upgraded my brake lights so don't need one now.
