Buying a powered truck mirror
So, thats the bumpers sorted, what now? Oh yes, lets see whats behind me.
I want to get hold of some truck style mirrors but the stuff ive seen on Brickwerks e.t.c. only do heated mirrors, not the power adjustable types. Ive searcehd the wiki and the tech forums and found a good wiring diagram. Ive also found the Brickwerks mirrors. However...
Does anyone know where I can find mirrors that are heated AND power adjustable?
Thanks awfully
Dave

Re: Buying a powered truck mirror
They rarely come with the loom, however the wiring is very simple and the only thing you need to remove is the heater duct/cover in front of the gear lever, it really is that simple. If you want the heating element to work you'' need the relay and switch that are required for the heated rear screen. All are easily obtainable.

I have a loom here should you need to borrow it to get it copied.

Re: Buying a powered truck mirror
Cheers Rob, this is sounding interesting. I did find a loom plan somewhere on 80-90 so I shall have a go at fiddling with that. I guess, once I have a relay and a switch, its just a matter of picking up a live from somewhere it it? or do you just chuck a live back to the fuse box and pick up one of those unused slots?

I imagine a diagram with measurements would be worth putting on here as so few of the mirrors are sold without a loom. Don't suppose you have one for the electric windows do you?
