Alternator wires

Post by Sir Brixalot »

Going to replace the red ones on 90a Bosch. One goes to starter. Where does the other one go? Can't find my Haynes which was falling apart anyway

Thanks BH. I'll get it up on ramps late as I need to change the big water pipe behind the engine. It looked as if it was going to the front of the van I think the Wikki says that there's no need for wiring to go to junction box in engine bay so perhaps someones modified it in the past.

The wikki be wrong then, it is the supply for the manifold heater relay or injection relay.

I've read it wrong-its the starter that can goe straight. Getting under the van it does indeed got to the junction box. Being too much in a rush getting rid of old redundant wire I snipped what I thought was a dead black wire but which just filthy white and has yellow, red black and blue wires going to LPG. Need to slow things down when working on van!
