Subaru conversion garages.
Hi all.
Anyone know of a T25 Subaru conversion garage/specialist in the south East or Anglia region?
I’ve tried TSR conversions but they are understandably busy for months.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks
Jay

There used to be someone who posted on here as 'spannerboy' based in Guildford, haven't seen any posts for a while but maybe on farcebok, worth a try through PM

Thanks. I have heard the name Spannerboy mentioned in the forums, but trying my hardest to find someone in South East or Anglia. Seems other than TSR, no-ones prepared to take the project on sadly.

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
All right buddy
I looked into it Subaru conversion late last year and the guys I we're looking at are CoastVW.
I'd go with these chaps if I took the plunge and went for the conversion.
Comes in pretty expensive at ~£7.5k all in with a fully rebuilt 2.5 engine.
Worth a look.
Cheers

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
Thanks. I’d love too but just too expensive for me.
TSR do it for £3.5 grand which I can just about make work, but struggling to find anyone else to match the price

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
You'd be better buying a £1000 worth of tools and doing it yourself. Send the wiring loom to rjes and buy an exhaust if you can't weld but the rest is not difficult as long as you are methodical. Any mechanic friend's that can help you? Really would save you money in the long run. Not meaning to be a know it all but I'd hate to think how much I have spent on my van and I have done all the engine coversion, bodywork etc. Can be money pits.

Campershack in Grantham did mine 2 years ago and did a superb job, still running great. Didn't cost anywhere near 7k either !

Re: Subaru conversion garages.
Thanks for the replies all.
I might give Camper Shack a try.
Id love to give the project a whirl myself, with the help of a local mechanic. Always like to try and get stuck in, but I just can't find the time to start this kind of project now sadly.
Wish there was more time in the day!

Im just about to go this route - I recon D.I.My. I will spend thick end of £2.5 ...... £500 engine - £2000 RJES + bits n Bobs
My experience of available info and support from here and RJES so far is positive and Im confident I will be able (with a little help fro my 80-90 friends) to install
I couldn't really justify the cost of paying a garage - much as the idea appeals -
Im pushing it with the chancellor with my "fleet" of toys - both 2 and 4 wheels as it is
