Ok. It looks to have the same components as mine. I will check them properly over the weekend, but perhaps we both have petrol versions.

Thanks for your picture.

As I said, it was a long time since I compared Diesel and Petrol DOPs. Apart from the differences of the signal pulse, a petrol engine provides two pulses per engine revolution but a Diesel may be different as one signal pulse is derived from one revolution of the Alternator and relative pulley diameters come into the equation. I would say yours is a petrol DOPs and not the original Diesel one.

here is my buzzer. Its form a 9.93 marked (replacement part?) speedo with white back and AFAIK its petrol, but not sure:

Aah, that looks like the Diesel DOPs, pretty sure it has a crystal oscillator, anyway it is different to the other pics posted. Thanks, very helpful.

A friend of mine sent me this pic a few days ago. These are his 3 DOP from his 3 spare speedos. The right one is similar to mine. The buzzer relay is damaged in the left one. He said all 3 was removed from diesel dash but except the damaged one all was buzzing in high rpms on his diesel.

E D I T: checked ETKA, there were 5 partnrs for these circuit boards:
321 919 064 M - petrol
251 919 064 A - diesel - I 2,75 (up to chassis nr 24-K-030 000)
251 919 064 D - diesel - I 2,75 (from chassis nr 24-K-030 001)
251 919 064 B - diesel - I 2,01 - for vehicles with air condit.; for vehicles with air condit. and power steering; for vehicles with hydraulic pump and 2. alternator
251 919 064 C - diesel - I 2,39 - for models with power steering

not sure if there is any sign of the partnr on the circuit board

Yeah, I can't see any of the images uploaded by ZsZ. Not sure why. I've tried on three different devices.

I uploaded to my google photos shared album and copied the URLs from there. Maybe a google account is needed

Thanks, that link worked for me.
I can now see the difference that AngeloEvs was talking about. It looks like mine is definitely a petrol version.

I've made a drawing of my circuit board.

I need to add values for the components.

Here is an arcticle about the system and a vid about how to disable the buzzer in the 2.1: https://www.vanagain.com/troubleshoot-t ... nd-buzzer/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In that vid the circuit board has the oscillator (? Shiny metal thingy :) ) So I still think that in my white speedo there is a petrol board.

Thanks for the link. I've not come across them before.
So are you saying that the board pictured in the video is for a petrol or a diesel?

Not sure as the front of the cluster is not visible to decide if it has glow cycle indicator LED. Its from a syncro as the speedo is marked "800" and the video is from the US where diesel syncros werent sold.
My spare DOP (which is similar to the one in the vid) is form a cluster which was a petrol one but later was converted to diesel by soldering in a resistor for glow plug LED and had a Mazda diesel tach hacked into.

Maybe the PO of my cluster did a full petrol to diesel conversion by changing the DOP too and the cluster in the video is from an imported diesel syncro van, or both are petrol DOPs
Both possible.

Found this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Volksw ... c3&vxp=mtr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Image
its a DOP that looks like mine and the one in the video. They say the partnr is 321919064N
I did some ETKA search again and found two more partnrs:
321 919 064 J - control unit for oil pressure control for models with a speedometer in die cast optic
321 919 064 N - control unit for oil pressure control for models with a speedometer in plastic optic
both for diesel and turbodiesels from chassis nr F 24-F-000 001
the second one is listed at Caddy, Golf, Jetta, Vento, Passat and always as a diesel.

So it looks like AngeloEvs is right, the one with the oscillator is the one for diesels.

:ok
