What’s wrong with what you have now?

Hi losing oil from oil cooler, push rods, cam shaft. Breathing very heavy poss piston ring or head gone. So not sure if rebuild or exchange a better job.
Heard in the past some recons not good so after good feedback on recons or somewhere in the north west do a good job on rebuild.

Hi, I ended up paying top dollar for a full rebuild with quality parts for our 2.0 cu. I could get any guarantees that the recons I could buy wouldn't be built with sub standard or used parts. It's a minefield. Mine was re built over two years ago. I've been into europe twice one of the trips did over 3500 miles without any problems at all. As I said costly but if your in it for the long term then its well worth while!

I use a garage on the south coast VW Werks.

Not exactly local to you, but the owner Doug knows his stuff and is a top bloke as well.

Try Paul Weeding on here. I've never had any work done by by him, but he was helpful & knowledgeable on one of my first posts on here
