Wire brush on angle grinder, cleaned up surface rust, vactan, will prime then paint.

Looking for Diesel engine bar locating plate for N/S chassis leg if you have one?

I’ve replaced the cross shaft bushes...seems secure but the shaft is able to still move sideways by a few mm, is this normal? I’ve got all the right parts in the right order. Just cleaned up the oil thrower and case before fitting back with JB weld. Might peen the fitting slightly to ensure a good fit and perhaps sand the joining surfaces with a bit of friction.

Thanks Aidan. Is it same for 4/5 speed ie any diesel one is good?
Finally got the input shaft swapped. I decided not to just JB my old oil thrower back in to stop it rotating and ordered a new slightly oversized one from Aidan Talbot of all things gearbox. If i’m going to do this conversion i’m going to do it as properly as I can.

Tomorrow im going to try and fit the engine...cold but got to get it in. the other bits seem easy compared to getting the lunp into place. Loom ready and labelled, (thanks Graham Bunt) injection tank, all exhaust parts and pipes all ready so should be 'straightforward' ;) to fit.Image

Bellhousing fitted with diesel slave bracket, new bolts and new thrust bearing with rebushed gbox cross shaft with diesel clutch arm on end. Now to get the flywheel onto engine and fit clutch before trial fitting!!!

Off side engine bar, currently two bolts either end, no idea how to get the top bolt into the rear chassis bracket.

I’m held up by not having a bracket for the near side chassis leg front to engine bar. I’ve made s template but don’t have the right thickness of steel or good enough tools to make one.
