Hi folks.
Can anyone tell me if steering rack bolts need to be high tensile? or will stainless be ok?
My nuts are so corroded that I'll need to cut them off to fit my Powerflex bushes.
Cheers.

I ordered the bolts and washers from brickwerks. BZP. I think they appear under the related items if you look at the steering rack bush items

Re: steering rack bolts.
Finally got around to replacing my bushes this weekend, definately makes a noticable difference.
It was quite blowy today and the steering felt nice and positive, not the usual vague wandering around the road.
I used M8x60 part threaded high tensile bzp bolts and new nuts and washers.

Re: steering rack bolts.
Never use stainless for anything important they are more brittle than steel and more likely to snap under fatigue
