DAB Aerial

Post by nobbyfox »

I want to replace my radio with a nice shiny DAB+ unit.
Went to Halfords and the new aerial that was available attaches to the left of the windscreen, I have a LHD Westie and obviously do not want it on the left but on the right.
Can you just mount the 'sticky' aerial upside down on the right instead.

Thanks
Steve

When you say behind the dash, is it lying horizontally? I can't see how you'd get it fitted upright.

Hi Nobbyfox
I have that aerial but I’m RIght hand drive. It did say in the fitting instructions that it can indeed be fitted upside down on the rh side of the windscreen. No problem with reception which surprised me as I don’t even get mobile signal to well where I live in Somerset.

I had (the van is no more) a similar aerial, I unscrewed the aerial from its base and added a right angle bracket.
Magnetic base sticks to the A pillar, great reception.

Thank you all for your replies. Most helpful.
If I get a spare weekend (running the kids about for dance or rugby) I will purchase one soon and have a play.

Thanks
