Hi
I have a problem that occurs after starting - starts fine after leaving 20 seconds to warm( - think relay is not original as light does not go out).
Get to end of road and when braking, van goes to idle then will not increase revs to pull away again, gentle dabbing of accelerator will eventually get a response.
Thinking fuel starvation?
Any ideas?
Thanks
M

Sounds like the pump is pulling air - any bubbles in the lines?

Can't see any air in the lines - would this be a cracked fuel pipe somwhere? Once warmed up it runs fine and dandy.
Sorry for delayed response - thought no one was bothered.
Thanks for replying

I don't have that problem but the previous post mentioned seeing air in the fuel lines.
While I was in the engine bay yesterday I noticed a bubble of air in the line from the filter to the pump.
Started the engine (no probs) and watched as that bubble was drawn to the pump, I then noticed a steady stream of micro bubbles in the fuel line. I'm guessing I have a leak at the filter in that case.
I mention this because I have never had a problem after starting like you mention but by the look of it I may have had the air in the fuel lines for a while.

Yeah - I definately had air in the lines. I replaced the fuel filter and tried bleeding the air out at the injectors as suggested

You say 'tried' to bleed the air out, is it still an issue just after starting? If you are still getting air in the fuel i would suggest replacing the fuel line from the tank to filter and then filter to pump using new clamps. Cheap, quick and easy to do and from experience the lines may look fine but they perish and weep.
