Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
Did mine six years ago (may have been the first possibly). Never had an issue since and because I changed the connector on the back to an ATX one, I can run several wires to the clocks. Best, most cost effective solution once its all working. Just retrace every line and if theres a blunder, you'll find it.

Quick answer.
lm7810
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Voltage-Regul ... X4PuyNccHw
Make sure that it is fitted the correct way round otherwise it will not regulate!
Markings uppermost - no.1 (left) 12v in, no.2 (middle) ground, no.3 (right) 10v out. Ideally they should have a heatsink.

Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
Here's where I mounted mine. Easy to get to it and just have to unscrew the little screws and pop a new one in if needed..wires from top to bottom are:
2 black wires are +10v (copper tracks bridged on rear of board)
3rd red wire is ground
Bottom red wire is +12v from ignition.

Well after 6 tries, finally given up the ghost.

Will go back and try again in a few months just for my piece of mind, which is shot.

Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
Your tracing appears incorrect for Diesel, haven't checked it all but the Glow plug LED circuit from Pin 14 is incorrect - worth rechecking.
The picture from a German forum is for petrol vans as pin 14 (glow plug LED circuit and components) is missing.

Yes you right the second one is for a petrol as it has no glow plug LEDAngeloEvs wrote:Your tracing appears incorrect for Diesel, haven't checked it all but the Glow plug LED circuit from Pin 14 is incorrect - worth rechecking.

But the pin14 is glow plug/OXS/catalyc converter malfunction sign. Here is a photo of an original blue foil pinout:

Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
The tracing from pin 14 is very pale, looking again in magnified view I can see it connects to the glow plug led so ok ......

Re: Replacing the dashboard plastic PCB
Use 68K resistor for your Blue LED(sounds alot) but results in just the correct brightness.
