Oil pressure relief valve
I've been told my van is missing the oil pressure relief valve. Anyone know where I can get one from. Cheers

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
It was advertised as a 1.9 TD when I purchased it around 6 months. A couple of weeks ago I noticed that it's registered as a 1915cc petrol on the logbook so I couldn't actually tell you the engine size. I can't find the engine number either but I know it's a Diesel engine, sorry

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
Most likely AAZ conversion then, but PO hasn't notified DVLA. Maybe...
So who said there's no pressure relief valve, and why? There must be or you'd either have zero (missing valve) or massive over-pressure (missing with a bolt jammed in it or suchlike). Either way the engine would be wrecked in no time. Afaik the valve is integral in the oil pump in the sump, and non-serviceable (so can't really be "missing".

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
I have a hole coming of the exhaust manifold. I posted a pic of it on VW T25 Facebook forum and was told on there. There is oil all up the air intake hose. I can email the pic to you

Open yourself a free photobucket account and upload the pictures there.
then copy and past a 'share this photo' link into a post on here , preferbly the link that starts [IMG] this automatically displays the photo.
The point of a forum is lots of people can see the picture and discuss it and help you.

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
somebody might recognise that , do you have another pic zoomed out so they can see more?
Re: Oil pressure relief valve
That is a missing blow off valve or pressure relief valve for a 1.6 td.
The part numbers you are looking for are
Valve - 068 129 633
Clamp - 068 129 641
Seal - 069 129 646
Those parts have now been discontinued at VW but someone may have some stock, it will most likely be cheaper to get a 2nd hand inlet manifold, it doesn't need to be a t25 all 1.6td of the era had them fitted.

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
What I see is a hole where the " bov"( blow off valve ) should be/fit ( in the inlet manifold )
Put an ad in the wanted section?!

Re: Oil pressure relief valve
I have one or two spare if you need one.
When we do AAZ conversions, I make a hybrid manifold using the AAZ body with JX intake flange grafted on to the side (top one blanked off). If you can get hold of an AAZ manifold I'd recommend the upgrade.
