Viking roof fellow people help
Can someone send me a picture of the rear hinges on a Viking roof as I am putting one on my baby and the rear hinges don't seem to line up after I have put the holes in the same place. How do the hinges sit? Fat, thin, thin fat or fat thin fat thin? Help needed please.
With many thanks

Hey, just had a look through my photo album but nothing clear. I'll try and get some Thursday or Friday morning for you if still needed
I had to replace my hinges over summer, I noted the hinges were all slightly off square but when I riveted them in place on the van and on the roof, there was enough play in them to be ok.
The previous owner of my Caravelle put the viking roof on mine so all I know is that it took him a while measuring it out.

The Devon roof is different to the Viking one. I took off the Devon and nothing is the same.

i have a devon moonraker side elevating roof.
i had always thought the viking just had a larger canvas , but was based on the same roof

I have a side elevating Devon roof: these are how the hinges fit on mine. Not sure if this helps.

Hi,
Sorry it's taken a while there appears to be limited daylight hours which coincide with not having to go to work or sorting a daughter out.
So a work in progress I took some photos in the dark and created a Picassa album

I'll keep adding to it as and when, any specific shots you want just let me know. One slight caveat is that I have the heavy duty hinges bought from http://www.poptop-parts.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I believe these have a slightly different location than the standard hinges due to their size.

Thanks for that. Yes I think they are a little different to standard ones as mine ones seem too sit in the gutter more? If you get the chance to take some in the day that would be fab
