Re: Garys Westfalia Multivan
2nd coat of paint on the right side, finally, weathers been poo so been held back by that, goes up for MOT on Friday
Hoping its going to be dry tomorrow so i can get paint on the other side and that will be 2 solid coats, will just need a final 3rd after that, then compound and polish like the back
Also painted the undersides of the arches with the Hammerite paint i had, still one to do but ran out so got another tin of paint that will do sitting there.

Not sure yet, my brothers sorting it out, he works at the NL council Vosa station as a Mech but their MOT testers off sick so he's booking it in to the one round the corner from his work, says he knows the lads in there so shouldn't end up with any surprises hopefully.

Re: Garys Westfalia Multivan
Cheers, ended up doing the pop top catch today and sorting out the skylight as there was a little crack on the pop top, so added some fibreglass into it the covered with some tigerseal, as for the pop top catch i took it off and sand blasted it as all the powdercoat had flaked off it and it looked like it had been at the bottom of the ocean, I powdercoated it with a powdercoat i had lying around hence the dark gray colour, didnt take any "before" pictures, but here it is preheating @ 250c in the oven prior to being coated after sandblasting
and here is after coating and fitted to the poptop again
Not colour matching but neither was the rust
Not much left to do to be honest, going to paint the roof when i have acceptable weather again, then have to do the wiring for the kitchen unit and cover that in the fablon then fit the T-moulding and refit to the van and i will be almost done, going to order chrome hubcaps from brickwerks along with the D bushes for the ARB, was looking at 17" Audi alloys a mate was selling but after driving it to MOT i think i'll stick with the steels as the extra width of a 230 tyre will be too much of a pain in the a*** to drive lol

Re: Garys Westfalia Multivan
Got my tracker wired in and a RGB LED interior strip fitted, a 5 metre strip goes all the way round the poptop rim perfectly, had to be glued on as adhesive backing strip was crap, also came with a music changing option , got another angle of the kitchen that i still haven't finished
