rust-oleum question

ive made a pair of wrought iron driveway gates loosely based on a splitscreen camper,my local powdercoater tells me they wont fit in their oven.My question is has anyone painted any gates or anything other than a vehicle in rust-oleum .

Yes painted a few garage doors and a couple of years ago did some iron railings, approx 50 metres long in poor condition. These were treated with vactan first then two coats of rustoleum, still look great. Obviously new material ie no rust would only need just the paint, i would say its the best stuff for the job.

hi thanks for help deffo the way to go,is it sprayable or better to brush.

Hi
Easiest and best to use a 4" glossing foam roller combined with a brush to get in the corners, or flatt it off. Will need to be thinned with white spirit at approx 20%. As with painting anything you need a good "key" for paint to bond on and degreased well. Much as cov kids method really for painting your van, plenty on here about it, cheers.
