Whats in your tool kit?
Hey Everyone
I only became a T25 owner this summer. I'm on my second vehicle now (the first was written on by a careless HGV driver after just 10 days! My insurance valuation hadn't even kicked in so its still a sore point)
Anyway I'm quickly becoming acquainted with the continual repair way of life and would like to become more proficient in repairs and maintenance myself. I'm a ground level amateur and would like to start investing in tools to do work myself.
What would you guys list as essential tools. Perhaps even break them down into ones you carry on the road and things you keep in your home garage.
Thanks

Big hammer, Big bar, plus gas.
I bought something similar to this http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/ ... panner-set to keep in the van. Possibly a bit excessive though? I need to add to it a hammer, pry bar and knuckle bar. I dont know what sort of Jack to use yet though, bottle jack is currently favourite because it's nice and compact.
At home I have a variety of stuff that I have built up. i like quality tools over quantity though my wife doesnt seem to understand!

Re: Whats in your tool kit?
With a Beetle, a wheelbrace, jack and 13mm spanner was enough.
