1983 Coolant Hose

Post by Ian&Vics »

Hi, I have a split coolant hose that looks like it is discontinued?!! It is described as the coolant pipe from the inlet manifold to the flange on the front of the right hand cylinder head and sits just below the carb.
There is the opposite hose which is number 025121058A which sits on the left hand side. Same shape hose but they are handed so cannot be swapped.

looked on websites and spoke to justKampers but told it is discontinued.

It is a short hose which looks like an elephants trunk and is maybe 1" diameter on one end but flares at the other to maybe 1.25".

does anyone know if I can get one anywhere?

Many thanks

Hi,

thanks for the time and help. Unfortunately this is the wrong hose. The hose attached is for the LHS of the engine and I need the RHS. The RHS hose seems to be discontinued and I cannot find it anywhere!!

Seems impossible that this is the only hose to be discontinued?!!

Can you identify the part no. from here?
http://autopartmaster.com/en/?action=ca ... d=N0245054

Or more likely here
http://autopartmaster.com/en/?action=ca ... 202%201983

No good me looking further as I have an uncomplicated diesel.

Hi, many thanks for this.
on the second link it is shown as hose number 1.
the opposite is hose number 3 which has a part number and this is available at brickwerks.

However, hose number 1 is shown as "no longer available" and I can't seem to locate one anywhere!!

I spoke to JustKampers and they couldn't locate one either.
Surely my van can't be off the road just because of a coolant hose!!

Any ideas?

Anything here http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/smartl ... l=view_all - the descriptions mean nothing to me but they are doing some in silicone so must be discontinued ones.

I am only stabbing in the dark without the part number. You may have to buy a silicone bend and join it to a straight piece to get what you want.

Reducing elbows are available on ebay as are u-bends - can't point you to one without knowing the sizes needed.

take it off, clean it up and you can usually see the part number embossed, may need some fine wet and dry before it's clear.

then take a photo and post it along with the exact diameter of both pipes on the engine ( in mm, they will be a metric size) and I'm sure somebody can come up with a solution.
