wipers not working

hi
anyone got the layout of old type fuse box on early van a reg

(havent got manual with me)
wipers stopped yesterday,,,,,,,,,,changed fuse(20 i think) wipers run for 30 secs then blew it again....40 mile in rain no wipers?

any tips/help appreciated

would it be relay maybe????

But if you're seeing the fuse blow then I'd assume you have the correct one .....

The wiper fuse was originally on the same fuse as the fan heater, the fan motor commonly begins to seize ( bearings) and can draw more power to try to overcome the extra resistance. So when the wipers are switched on too bang goes the fuse. Try the wipers without the fan going if you already haven't.

thanks mate

funnilly i changed fuse and the wipers run/ asked mate to try blower then fuse popped.....looks like your on righf track
