Ooh man! It takes about 30 seconds to go to brickworks.co.uk and type "nuts" in the search field!

As stated here VW carat alloys require tapered nuts/bolts. http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/index.php/t ... g-kit.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There are 2 types of alloy wheel commonly fitted to T3 models from the factory.

Theres the "Carat" style - 5 Spoke common on Bluestars, Redstars, Whitestars, LLEs and Carats.

Then, there is the Atiwe "Pepperpot" style - with round holes around the outside of the wheel.

These wheels are unusual for a VW wheel as they have tapered seats for the wheel fittings instead of the usual radius.

As Rob says....tapered seated nuts/bolts for Carat alloys.

But....remember as you have bolts on the front and nuts on the rear it means you having to buy 2 sets of of lockers.

Rather than doing that I'd suggest fitting the stud conversion kit on the front and then you need just one set of locking nuts.....plus it makes life easier when fitting the front wheels.
There's no 'r' in bought!

I am glad you posted that as I too was looking at getting locking nuts and I would have bought the wrong ones :roll:

Actually I was sure I had seen that info you linked to in the past, but today I could not find it :?

I have edited my post ^^^ to remove erroneous information :wink:
