We over here in RUNCORN want to see the finished job.
It looks 100% now. Is it finished or are you still at it.
Love to the Good Lady Andrea.
Cheers Fred & Dot.

Hiya Fred, she's around 90 percent done . I've still got the louvre window surround to make and a few other bits like the front cab around the drivers seat . I have been given orders that she's gotta be done for Halloween weekend when she's gonna be having her first camping expedition to Masham.

Hi James it's a piece of 12 mm ply with grooves cut out with the router. Then a piece screwed along the front and bits cut to fit the slope along the sides. It was all covered with spray adhesive then stretchy carpet applied and pressed into the indentations. In all it took a couple of hours to make. I'll take some pics of it in the van when I get chance .

Yea if you could mate looks a lot more sturdier and 1000 times better than the plastic type. Might have to steal your idea if that's ok! :ok

No probs mate , to get the shape use a piece of paper pressed onto the dash and trace a line round the inside profile ( you'll understand when you have a look) go as far as the speaker grill . If you haven't got a router you could use a piece of 3mm ply then add a piece of 12 glued to it with cut outs done with a jigsaw .

I'm going to have to love mine a lot before I get into that level of fix. Mines had a very cheap set of essential welding one new panel an very cheap respray (Gill doesn't like white vans!) and a DIY fast interior clean and recover (in process.). If it lasts three years and we fall in love with it then I might start something like this. I'll have to pay a welder mind! Excellent job mate wish I had a wifee who would put up with me starting something like that let alone finish. She's even changed her mind about making the curtains just keeps coming home with bleeding cushions!!!!!AGhh!

Just had first weekend away in jambo in Masham and everything worked well. Had to have the fan heater on overnight as it was in the minus figures and there was a light covering of snow when we got up on the morning. Did 175 miles and we loved it . The dogs loved it .

You worked for it. You needed it. You enjoyed it. The dogs enjoyed it.
