hi,
is it ok to use a scissor jack or do i have to use the one that came with the camper? i'm trying to rationalise storage.

I'd have thought you'd struggle to get a more storage friendly one than the jack that came with the van. You could use a scissor one but it'd have to be a big scissor one due to the height of the van I'd have thought - or put it on blocks, but then that's even more space taken up,

I've not used a scissor jack since I watched the threads on one stip and a type 2 go down with an almighty bang. 2tn Bottle jack safer.

and might i suggest that you try the jack in each of your jp's and lift the van clear f the ground before relying on it for real
