Passat tdi accelerator

Anyone fitted a tdi Accelerator pedal to there electronic tdi engined van.
Fitted one to my syncro and it idles slightly higher than normal, revs fine etc
I have not actaully fitted it, just removed the tdi golf accelerator in the back of the van and wired in the tdi passat pedal accelerator just to test it.

Any ideas.

Thanks for the info today, i now know what to do.
Put the vagcom on noticed a fault code for the pedal, realised the earth wire was not right so corrected that and the fault code disappered. Reved the engine a little and it was showing a percentage change, pushed the pedal all the way down for the 100% and it made a horrible sound and a huge puff of black smoke like the turbo had gone and stopped dead. Luckily it fired up again and ticked over at 900rpm again, turbo intact
