yeh it's fiddly on an early which bearing are you struggling with?

better check your old case was not line bored and bigger bearings fitted? pop flywheel end bearing off and check it fits in case with no crank

probably want your dizzy gear + thrust washers in first with dizzy to hold it, less risky than putting it in after the case is closed.

All 3 to be honest. I was wondering if you should mark them up first somehow, but I guess that easier said than done as the bearings are already on the crank.

flywheel end bearing should come off check it fits the crankcase, crankcases can be line bored for over size bearings but I have not seen one.
if not that just need three hands

I use a bolt with a bit of tape so it wedges in, I must say though occasionally you get a step worn and they won't pull out
