Well, here we are at Rob and Beccy´s and I´m getting to grips with a Spanish keyboard which is qwerty but also quirky. Clive and Jenny had the better crossing as we went through a Force 8 last night - Ali spent most of the time horizontal and couldn´t manage the Brittany Ferries cooked breakfast!

There is a really good turn out with:
Dave Futbus and Rosie and Megan
Mark Mudlark
Clive and Jenny
Patrick and Lisa
Barry and Yvonne
Terryvanman

This means we´ll have six Syncros on the guided days which should be a good number.

There´s several cameras and at least two laptops so we will hopefully have at least some pics up before we get back. :ok

Heading back on ferry today, had some perfect weather up in the mountains - crisp & clear and not too cold at night. Rain interestified some of the driving too!
Yesterday we finally de-camped at Potes and did our holiday thing with everybody on one of many perfect beaches. A swim, cycled & frisbee'd till we almost dropped then barbecued back at Rob's.

A fantastic coast and mountain area, would come again ! :D

All returning today except Dave, Rose and Megan....

Many thanks to Rob for hosting a great meet and making it all happen. :ok

Home and tired,,This was just about he best laugh I've had for a long time and the company was just great...a real mix of old farts like me and young whippersnappers to try to keep up with...while the off roaders went off to discover little used cart tracks running across the landscape,, I Went off exploring on my own, the Picos are just about the best place to get lost in,,you drive up a very twisty road for an hour or so and find yourself 1700 metres above sea level ,,,and level with the snow line on the mountains,,then you turn around and drive back down and your on a sun soaked beach,,Just magic...photos to follow ,,,,,,

Hope everyone else arrives home safely, we couldn't have got off of the ferry quicker after 1-00 a.m docking, although Mark beat us by a few yards, then Terry came blasting past... home by 2:45.

The ferry was a bit rough at times but it's a fantastic ship. Bar-time, cocktails and sing-alongs were fun last night and the food easily good enough. Loved the Heli-deck and promenade areas...

Port-Aven - Carrying up to 2,400 passengers and 650 cars, the Pont-Aven is Brittany Ferries' flagship, and the largest within our fleet.

First of all - a big thank you to Rob for all the organisation and to Rob and Beccy for their hospitality. :ok

Second - a big thanks to everyone for making us newbies so welcome on our first Syncronauts event and for the all the advice and mechanical support - some of which will probably find its way onto video clips. :rofl

We got home about 6.30 after stopping for something to eat and nursing the CV joint which actually didn't cause any bother on the open road.

Here's a few pics just to wet the appetite. There will be loads more better than these from the others and some good video footage - Mark alone has 25 hours' worth to E D I T.

First night at the camp site:

Just a few of the routes:

All in all we had an excellent week in a beautiful part of Spain with great company, great routes and learnt loads about Syncros in general and ours in particular. Now we have a list to keep us busy right through the winter - starting with finding a new VC...

Thanks again to everyone,

Really pleased everyone had such a good time and got home safely. Dave and Rose have just left after a few extra days relaxing at my place. More than happy to organise a second trip next year. I think 6 vans and 3 days off-roading worked out really well. If anyone would like to pay us a visit between now and then you're very welcome.

Thanks for your company and I look forward to seeing everyone again next year!!!

Cheers

Rob

Had a great time in great company; really impressed with that corner of Spain lots of contrast with spectacular mountain scenery only 30 minutes away from great beaches. Thanks for inviting us all over Rob, and for being such a great host .

Pictures and vids when i get a few 'minutes' to organise them!
