Hello everyone

That's it, it's really over! We are back to Paris. The weather is sunny but the air is less pure than in Eire !
Our little Syncro was, once again very brave and had no breakdowns despite the mistreatment that I inflicted to “him”.

I thank the team of Irish syncronauts: Paul, David and Paddy, and all those who assisted them in the successful organization of this meeting. Special thanks to Paul for having invited little Frenchies and to have been the great guru of that meeting. Present on every front for all the hours. Always ready, with a good humor in spite of hard mornings (headaches I imagine, rain, dishes, problems to solve, timing of the program to follow, etc ...), which helped us discover amazing places, drink and Irish cuisine (sometimes spicy!). He even succeeded in having the sun any days and rain also to keep the legendary green Irish countryside.
Paul is truly a perfect man (this is a message to Sharon!)!

I was also very happy to see again the "old" (do not take offense!) friends of Syncro 25 years.

The trip in Ireland will remain in our memory. Ireland is really a beautiful country. We will come back.

Hope to see you soon in France ... or elsewhere on the planet.

Our most sincere friendship to all syncronauts speaking English, Welsh, Irish, Scottish and even Gaelic! With or without any accent, it does not matter I understand nothing about!

Jean-Claude and Catherine

PS: the last to return to France are Yves and Marie-Thérèse.

Jean-Claude

Glad you are back in France (bien arrive) and safe and sound (it's really dangerous being away from France, I'm sure  )

Anyway, joking apart, that is a prize-winning post... the post of the year

We couldn't have predicted those comments a month ago, even if we were all sages or clairvoyants

However, we agree with you :ok Paul the magician, the juggler, juggled and didn't drop any balls 8)

well what can I say I'm speechless  but the whole event couldn't have happened without Dave and Andrew whose dedication and hard work helped to make it the success it was, and on behalf of all of us it was a pleasure and an honour to be your hosts and we will try and organise Eire Syncro 2. In the meantime some excellent pics from Yann and Marie

A woman was killed on that beach you were driving on last week. Apparently a truck was going to drop off a load of surfing equipment and he knocked the American woman down (who had only just arrived off a tour bus)

News stories suggest the vehicle was an authorised surfing company truck, and the accident happened when it was reversing. Hopefully this won't result in a knee-jerk ban on all vehicles on the strand, it was a real treat to be able to drive on such a huge expanse of open sandy beach.

Very predictable, as any attending a Syncronaut event with me briefing safety will know... I might forget the odd miscellaneous item, but I always warn strongly about REVERSING and especially in camp

Because I saw a sleeping person run over by a reversing LandRover at a pop festival back in the late 60's (yea man! :P ... honest, the first of the Glastonbury Festivals at Shepton Mallet, even Steppenwolf were there 'Born to be Wild')

Also, it was an 'official' vehicle at the festival (with a madman sod arsing about at the wheel with hundreds lying out in their sleeping bags)
