Coney Farm April Fools Event Reborn

Post by HarryMann »

Back from CF and mostly unloaded by 7pm. Lovely drive through the Cotswolds (up Fish Hill (JX killer!), Moreton-in-the Marsh, Chipping Norton, Enstone etc) on A44/B4030 to Bicester (M40 and A41 connect)

The sun shone on us this weekend I feel, for April 1st onwards, unexpectedly good weather, even a nice night around the campfire last night
Some incredible Cbs (Cumb Nimbs) after lunch today, mostly missing us by a few miles, but the thwacks and flashes were impressive

Was nice to see so many newcomers giving it a go, and driving so well on the climbs and especially through the steep woods from time to time...

Would like to thank all and any that helped with organisation, Doug, Julia & Roger etc. Everybody pulled together again it seems. Took us back 4 or 5 years 8)

Overall, thought some good driving to be had, definitely good food (& beer, thanks Dave) around barbie, and most important some good Syncro fat to chew. Noticed many parts and services being bartered exchanged bought & sold

Think everybody drove outa gate under own power... gotta be good :P

OMG:  [QuickEdit] Thanks Jenny for doing the Admin for CF and making sure all the cheques in and out balance :ok

This weekend was one of the best i`ve had for laughs per mile. Big thanks to the usual suspects for the organisation and making the effort so the rest of us just have to turn up and drive.

I for one had a really good laugh and although I had to leave before anyone else even saw the light of day on sunday, I wish I could have stayed to do more, and I`d have more fun staying. Met up with Rich (sonic23) on the way home to drop off gearbox and wished he could have come. Weather was perfect, although a little cold with the wind, but mostly dry.

I only took one photo all weekend so hope some of you good people could put some up.

Hope everyone gets home safe and sound, and see you all next time.

No, but heard you, thanks for keeping the revs down at some absurd time in the morning...

Simon, thanks for the help with induction...

All impressed with what a 1.9DG Doka can do, up and down through the steep woods. Sorry I led you stray through the low hanging branches, seems both of us have canvas' to repair

A big thank you the the organisers, to Clive and Simon for their invaluable instruction and everyone else who turned up and made this a top weekend.

I learn't loads, had some great laughs and can't wait for the next Syncro event I can attend.

It was great to put so many faces to names at last.

I took a few pics and videos that are currently uploading. Once they are ready I'll put them up.

Oh yeah, one more thing. SYNCROS ROCK!!!!!! :ok :ok

A great event and a big thankyou, to all concerned with its organisation.
A first for the other members of my family, and they are looking forward to our next outing!
I might also bring the other two along next time.

Also a really big thankyou to Aidan for sorting my Gearbox so we could
come and play
:ok

Had a really brilliant time, caching up with old friends and making loads of new ones. Thankyou Clive for contacting me about CF. As always the company was fantastic.
